Wanck, Vough Set The Pace For Athens At Bob Greene/Newark Valley Invitational

NEWARK VALLEY - Graham Wanck and Alissa Vough set the pace for the Athens cross country team at the Bob Greene / Newark Valley Invitational here Friday. Wanck placed fourth out of 119 runners with a time of 17:25.1 while Vough was seventh out of 90 female competitors, recording a time of 20:41.7.v

In the boys race, the Wildcats’ Matt Rossettie took 16th in 18:11 in a tight finish which saw teammate Jacob Shores place 12th in 8:12.8. Micah Simwale was 87th with a time of 22:17 and Gabriel Sensenig claimed 96th in 22:40.4.

Athens' non-scoring runners included 108 93 403 Austin Nason (108th, 24:19.1), Nicholas Lesser (111th, 26:30.9) and Kamden Knapp (113th, 26:53.4).
