TIOGA JUNCTION, Pa. - Defense kept Athens in the game early until its offense found its footing here Saturday afternoon in a 31-17 win over Williamson in NTL girls basketball action.
The Wildcats were kept off the scoreboard in the first eight minutes one field goal and one free throw to Williamson standout Kenna Thomas, and trailed 3-0.
Junior McKenna Jarvis scored five points, including a late 3-pointer, in the second quarter in a 9-6 Athens spurt that sent the game into the halftime locker room tied at 9-9.
