ONEONTA - Sophomore Alissa Vough ran to a fifth-place finish, and junior Jacob Shores had a top-20 finish to pace Athens here Saturday at the Dave Forbes Cross Country Invitational.
"We had a good day," said Athens coach Mike Bronson. "Overall, we were really happy with all of the races our kids ran today.
Vough placed fifth in a time of 20:51.8, and senior Ava Hughes finished 31st in 23:22.1 to lead the Lady Wildcats to an eighth-place finish in the team standings.
Junior Jacob Shores finished 17th in a time of 16:32.3, and junior Matt Rossettie was 27th in 17:15.8 to lead Athens to a 10th-place finish in the team standings.
