Troy Girls Rally In 2nd To Edge Towanda, 8-6

Troy out hit Towanda for an 8-6 NTL softball win as the two teams had five home runs between them.

The Knights led 3-1 after one, but a 5-run second inning from the Trojans put them up 6-4 after two. They added another run in the third for a 3-run lead.

After two scoreless innings Troy made it 8-4 in the top of the sixth, only for the Knights to rally with two runs in the bottom half.

Neither team scored in the final inning as the Trojans held on for the win.

Lauren Ridall (4-for-5) had a home run, a double, 3-RBI, and three runs scored for the Trojans, with Kali Ayres (3-for-4) hitting a home run with 3-RBI, and a run scored.

Lauren Reed (1-for-3) had a home run with two runs scored, and an RBI, as Haidyn Watson (2-for-4) also crossed home.

Marlee Stanton (1-for-4) had an RBI, as Sydnee Bellows (1-for-3) scored. Amber James (1-for-4) had a hit.

Watson started, and went four innings for the win, striking out four with no walks, four hits, and four runs, three of which were earned.

Olivia Champluvier went the final three innings, striking out one with two walks, four hits, and two earned runs.
