Despite a furious fourth quarter rally Troy fell to Aquinas, 55-49, during the fifth place game at the Josh Palmer Fund Girls' National Bracket on Tuesday.
The Trojans found themselves down by 12 after one, and 13 at the half. They played Aquinas even in the third, then out scored them 19-12 in the fourth, but never getting it closer than six points.
Giana Renzi had 11 points, including three 3-balls in the fourth quarter, while Raelynne Woodward also had 11 points.
Kyah Renzo netted nine, Haidyn Watson added eight, Izzy Renzi notched six, and Emma Mickley chipped in with four.
