Towanda Wins Third In A Row; Edges Athens By 1 Stroke

WELLSBORO - Towanda made it three in a row, but just barely, edging Athens by 1 stroke Monday in the third NTL golf match of the season here at the Tyoga Country Club.

Owen Savercool became the third Black Knight to earn low-medal honors with a round of 75, while Athens sophomore Ty Owen finished second with a 76, and Towanda's Boom Thompson and North Penn-Mansfield's Andy Hermansen tied for third with matching 77s.

Towanda shot a four-player aggregate score of 322, while the Wildcats shot a 323, Wellsboro was third at 341 and North Penn-Mansfield was fourth at 346.
