Tigers Put Together 11-Run 4th To Top Warriors, 16-5

An 11-run fourth inning by North Penn-Mansfield broke open a close game as Canton fell to the Tigers, 16-5 in five innings, during NTL baseball action.

The game was tied 5-5 until that point, with Canton taking a 4-0 lead midway through the second. NPM rallied to go up 5-4 entering the fourth when the Warriors tied it up.

Bailey Gardner (2-for-3) scored twice, as Rylan Wesneski (1-for-2) had a double with a run scored.

Ben Fitch (1-for-3) and Michael Beers (1-for-3) both scored, and drove in a run, as Zach Colton (1-for-2) also had an RBI. Reed Taylor (1-for-2) also had a hit.

Colton started, going three innings with one strikeout, three walks, two hits, and five runs, two of which were earned.

Taylor came on but didn’t record an out, allowing three hits, two walks, and six runs, five of which were earned.

Beers tossed the final inning, allowing five hits, two walks, and five earned runs.
