HERSHEY - Troy sophomore Reed Palmer got a learning experience on the first day of the PIAA, Class AA Wrestling Championships Thursday, going 0-2.
Palmer (285) lost by fall to Carlynton’s Henry Barbisch in 1:17 in his preliminary bout, then got pinned by familiar face, Montoursville’s Landon Morehart, in 1:25.
In the first bout Barbisch got a takedown, then bundled up Palmer’s arms to turn him and get the fall.
In the consolation round match Morehart scored a first period takedown, then went up 5-0 with a cradle. In the second Palmer took down, and got to his feet, but Morehart mat returned him to his back for the pin.
