ATHENS - Alexis McRoberts broke her own school discus record as the Warriors dropped a pair of dual meets at Athens in NTL action Tuesday.
The girls fell 70-49, while the boys lost 101-21.
McRoberts threw 120-feet, 6-inches to re-break the Canton record, while winning the discus event. McRoberts (33-feet, 11-inches) won the shot put, with Emilia Pepper (27-feet, 5 3/4-inches) taking second.
McRoberts also won the javelin in 89-feet, 1-inch, while Pepper (73-feet, 9-inches) was second.
Also for the girls Kendall Kitchen (13.80) was second in the 100, while she teamed with Danah Wesneski, Stella Rockwell, and Hayley Larsen to win the 4x100 relay in 56.49. Wesneski (1:16.07) was third the 400.
Kitchen (28.85) was second in the 200, as Rockwell (14-feet, 6-inches) won the long jump. Wesneski (13-feet, 1-inch) came in third.
Rockwell (31-feet, 11-inches) took the triple jump title, as well, with Larsen (4-feet) claiming the high jump title.
For the boys Canton's "A" team of Landon Lake, Simon Wile, Manuel Halbfoerster, and Lawrence Halbfoerster took second in 9:59.47, while the "B" team took third in 11:05.81.
The Warrior duo of John Whitehead (21.22), and Thomas Guindon (21.69) were second, and third in the 100.
Lawrence Halbfoerster (5:03.01) was second in the 1600, with the 4x100 relay of Elton Weingartner, Joshua Hess, Guindon, and Chase Petrowski took second in 50.76.
Whitehead (47.49) was second in the 300 hurdles as Guindon (50.87) came in third. Chase Petrowski (25.66) was third in the 200.
Aiden Petrowski (32-feet, 2 1/2-inches) took third in the shot put, while Quincy Wesneski (91-feet, 3-inches) took third in the discus.
Wesneski (124-feet, 6-inches) won the javelin with Aiden Petrowski (95-feet, 7-inches) third.
Whitehead (15-feet, 11 1/2-inches) was third in the long jump.
