Troy couldn't touch Mount Carmel's Drew Yagodzinskie during the District IV, Class AAA baseball semifinals on Friday. The Red Tornado hurler threw a perfect game in the 4-0 win.
Yagodzinskie struck out eight as he allowed no walks or hits, and his defense gave up no errors.
Mount Carmel scored three runs in the second to take a 3-0 lead, then added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth.
Troy's own starter Camden Allen went an inning, allowing five walks, one hit, and three earned runs.
Joseph Frye then pitched the next five innings, striking out four with two walks, three hits, and one earned run.
