Lady Warriors Take 5th, Boys Finish 7th, At Kirby Classic

CANTON - The Canton girls track and field team took fifth at the Kirby Classic, as the boys came in seventh.

The Lady Warriors finished with 74 points, as the boys had 40.

On the girls' side Kendall Kitchen (27.27) was second in the 200, with Danah Wesneski (50.89) finishing fourth in the 300 hurdles.

The 4x100 relay (53.86) was fourth, and the 4x400 relay (5:12.37) came in fifth.

Stella Rockwell (14-feet, 7 3/4-inches) won the long jump as Wesneski (13-feet, 8-inches) took seventh. Rockwell (31-feet, 5 1/2-inches) also won the triple jump.

Kitchen won the pole vault in 10-feet, with Alexis McRoberts (109-feet) winning the discus. McRoberts (85-feet, 3 1/2-inches) was sixth in the javelin, and third in the shot put (31-feet, 9-inches).

Emilia Pepper (28-feet, 9-inches) took eighth in the shot put.

For the boys Lawrence Halbfoerster won the 3200 in 10:27.38, and took fourth in the 1600 in 4:40.39.

They had three point getters in the 300 hurdles with John Whitehead (47.61), Thomas Guindon (47.95), and Simon Wile (49.60) taking sixth, through eighth.

The 4x100 relay (49.82) took seventh, the 4x400 relay (4:02.23) was fifth, and the 4x800 relay (9:24.54) also came in fifth.

Wyatt Hilton was sixth in the discus (104-feet, 6-inches), and shot put (36-feet, 10-inches), as Quincy Wesneski (119-feet, 6-inches) took seventh in the javelin.
