The Wellsboro JV Football team got their first win of the season Monday as they edged Wyalusing, 20-18, on a goal-line stand.

Freshman Colton Hauser rushed for a pair of touchdowns in the game while freshmen Derrick Blasz and Christian Main connected on a passing touchdown.

Wyalusing scored at the very end of the game and opted to go for the two-point conversion and the win, however the Hornets' "D" made a stop on the goal line to secure the one-point win.

The Hornets improve to 1-1 on the season, and travel to Towanda next Monday.
