The Wellsboro Varsity Boys Track team took 12 of the 18 events in Tuesday's meet to score a 105-45 win over Northeast Bradford on Senior Night.
"This group of boys that will certainly will be missed," head coach Brigette Largey said. "They are critical components of our team with their athletic skills and leadership."
The Hornets swept the 100m with senior Jack Bryant (11.57), senior Alex Citrino (11.90) and senior Micaiah Fitch (12.17) taking the top three spots. Citrino (23.42) and Bryant (23.57) went 1-2 in the 200m, junior Jacob Baldwin (56.35) was 2nd in the 400m, junior Jude Cuneo (2:12.17) was 2nd in the 800m, and junior Max Macias won both the 1600m (5:00.97) and the 3200m (10:20.89). Junior Henry Whitney was 3rd in the 1600m (5:07.94) and 4th in the 3200m (10:59.99).
Senior Micah Vickery (16.25), junior David Seeling (17.31) and freshman Brayden Benjamin (20.06) swept the 110m hurdles and Seeling (42.83), Vickery (44.14) and Benjamin (48.36) swept the 300m hurdles.
Wellsboro finished 1st in the 4x100m relay (46.34) and 2nd in both the 4x400m (3:48.23) and 4x800m (8:54.13).
Seeling (6-ft) and Vickery (5-ft, 8) took 1st and 2nd in the high jump, senior Gabe Carpenter (10-ft, 6), junior Mason Nowak (8-ft) and sophomore Zander Rachiele (7-ft) swept the pole vault, Fitch (18-ft, 10.25) and senior Emmanuel Posada (17-ft, 11.50) took the top two spots in the long jump, and Fitch (38-ft, 6.75) won the triple jump with Benjamin (36-ft, 1) taking 3rd.
Freshman Ransom Schultz (33-ft, 0.5) was 2nd in the shot put with junior Kiernen Whitsell (29-ft, 5.5) taking 4th, junior Jacob Thurstin (100-ft, 1.5) and senior Levi Stone (93-ft, 3) were 2nd and 3rd in the discus, and sophomore Jacob Smith (112-ft, 4), Schultz (100-ft, 2.5) and Rachiele (90-ft, 8) swept the javelin.
The team is at the LHU Classic Invite on Saturday.
