Athens Pounds Out 19-3 Win Over Cowanesque Valley

WESTFIELD - Athens banged out 15 hits, played flawless defense, and scored 11 runs in the seventh inning to beat Cowanesque Valley, 19-3, here Thursday in NTL softball action.
The Wildcats scored three runs in the top of the first inning, and led 4-2 after three innings.
Athens scored one run in the fifth inning, and three more in the sixth to extend its lead to 8-2.
