Canton eked out a 38-30 win over North Penn-Liberty in NTL wrestling action.
Leland Pepper (215) opened things up with a fall for the Warriors, while NPL got back to back falls to take a 12-6.
Henry Proseus (114) tied tings up with a forfeit, followed by Levi Vermilya (121) scoring a fall.
The 127-pound match-up was between two state qualifiers, with NPL’s Bryce Pequignot pulling out the 13-7 win over Lyle Vermilya.
Canton came back with Ethan Brasington (133) earning a 12-6 decision over Hoyt Pequignot for a 21-15 lead.
A Brayden Pequignot (139) fall tied things up again, but back to back wins by Canton’s Manuel Halbfoerster (145) and Tommy Preston (152) saw Canton take a 32-21 advantage.
Riley Oakes (160) pulling out an 11-6 win over Canton’s Carson Rockwell kept NPL’s chances alive.
However, Blane Wesneski (172) shut the door win a fall at 172 for the Warriors.
NPL's Easton Cleveland-Pequignot (189) ended the match with a forfeit win.
