Warriors Place 3rd In Tri-Meet With Athens, Wellsboro

The Canton boys and girls track and field teams both took third at a tri-meet.

On the girls' side Athens won with 86 points followed by Wellsboro (55) and then the Warriors (48). For the boys Wellsboro (92.5) won with Athens (68.5) second and Canton (27) third.

For the girls Alexis McRoberts (17.6) won the 100 hurdles with Daveian Crowley (13.0) taking third in the 100 dash. Crowley was also third in the 200 in 26.8.

Crowley (1:06) was second in the 400 with teammate Layla Frisbie (1:09.4) third.

McRoberts won the discus in 97-feet, 7-inches and the shot put at 31-feet, 2-inches. Stella Rockwell was second in the triple jump (29-feet, 1 1/2-inches).

Kendall Kitchen won the pole vault at 9-feet, 6-inches.

McRoberts (82-feet, 7-inches) and Natalie Kapichok (78-feet, 3-inches) went 1-2 in the javelin.

On the boys' side Thomas Guindon was third in the 110 hurdles in 19.4.

Lawrence Halbfoerster won the 1600 in 4:48 with Joshua Hess second in the 400 in 59.2. Halbfoerster also won the 800 in 2:15.2, as Brayden Vroman was third in 2:34.4.

Chase Petrowski was second in the 200 in 25.7, with Wyatt Karpinski third in the javelin at 133-feet, 7-inches.
