Canton opened their dual meet track season with losses to Wyalusing and NEB in NTL action. The girls had 47 points to Wyalusing's 100 and NEB's 57, while the boys scored 37 points to Wyalusing's 96, and NEB's 64.
For the girls Alexis McRoberts won the 100 hurdles (19.30) and the 300 hurdles (54.50), while Danah Wesneski (57.80) was second in the 300 hurdles. McRoberts also won the discus in 106-feet, 11-inches.
Daveian Crowley (13.20) was second in the 100 and in the 200 at 28.40, as teammate Kendall Kitchen (28.90) was third. Crowley won the 400 in 1:05.30.
Kitchen won the pole vault at 9-feet, with Wesneski third in the long jump at 13-feet, 5-inches. Cailyn VanNoy was third in the triple jump at 29-feet.
On the boys' side Jordan Fitzsimmons (12.70) and Joshua Hess (13.00) were second and third in the 100. Fitzsimmons (26.10) was second in the 200, with Hess (1:00.1) second in the 400.
Lawrence Halbfoerster was second in the 3200 (10:58.40) and third in the mile (5:02.70). John Whitehead (20.30) was second in the 110 hurdles and third in the 300 hurdles at 51.40. Thomas Guindon was third in the 110 hurdles in 21.20.
Wyatt Hilton (35-feet, 1/2-inch) was second in the shot put and took third in the discus at 93-feet, 2-inches. Quincy Wesneski (113-feet) was third in the javelin.
