Troy held off a pesky NEB squad for a 53-43 NTL girls' basketball win.
The Trojans jumped out to an 11-0 first quarter lead but saw the Panthers cut the deficit to two at the half. NEB would tie it up at 28-all midway through the third, but an 8-1 run to end the frame saw the Trojans retake control.
They would build a 15-point lead early in the fourth, only to watch NEB whittle it down to eight. However, they out scored the Panthers down the final stretch of the game to secure the win.
Kailyn Sterling had 23 points to lead the Trojans as Alyssa Parks added 14. Gloria Andrews had nine points, Giana Renzi finished with two points and five assists, while Madaelyn Seeley and Kyah Renzo chipped in with two points each. Ella VanNoy rounded out the scorers with one.
