Troy defeated Dover, 8-3, in a non-league football game.
After Dover got a Kole Turner 22-yard field goal their opening drive the Trojans held them scoreless.
In the second quarter Troy got on the scoreboard when Dover snapped a punt out of the end zone. Then, with 1:35 left to play in the half, Mason Smith scampered 52 yards to the end zone for the 8-3 lead.
Troy won the battle of field position most of the night, and got a big defensive play late in the fourth on a Joseph Frye interception.
Smith ran the ball five times for 73-yards and a touchdown while Brendan Gilliland had 14 carries for 45 yards. Evan Woodward was 2-for-10 for 32 yards as Lincoln Chimics had a 31-yard reception.
