Trojans Offense Explodes For 45 Combined Runs In Doubleheader Sweep of Shamokin

Troy showed off their offense in their sweep of Shamokin in non-league baseball double-header action.

They beat them 18-5 in the first game, and 27-3 in the second.

In the first game five different Trojans had multiple hits on the day, with Clayton Smith (2-for-3) getting a double with 2-RBI and two runs scored as Jackson Taylor (2-for-5) scored three times with an RBI.

Brendan Gilliland (2-for-4) scored twice and drove in a run, as Mason Smith (2-for-4) also scored twice with 5-RBI.

Lincoln Chimics (2-for-4) crossed home three times while Camden Allen (1-for-4) scored once and drove in four runs.

Camryn Harwick (1-for-3) scored twice with an RBI as Reed Palmer scored three times with 2-RBI. Joseph Frye also drove in a run.

Allen got the win, going five innings with five strikeouts, three walks, four hits, and two earned runs. Trey Teribury pitched one-third of an inning with two hits, three runs, and two walks.

Palmer pitched two-thirds with one hit and one run, while Frank Harper pitched the final inning, getting two strikeouts with one hit and one run.

In the second Gilliland (5-for-5) scored three times and drove in two runs as Clayton Smith (3-for-3) had ad double with three runs scored and an RBI.

Frye (2-for-2) scored twice and drove in three runs as Harwick (2-for-4) scored three times with an RBI.

Mason Smith (2-for-4) had two doubles, two runs scored, and 4-RBI.

Chimics (2-for-3) had a home run, 4-RBI, with three runs scored, Allen (2-for-4) had a double with 3-RBI, and Palmer (2-for-4) had two doubles, three runs scored, and an RBI.

Taylor (1-for-3) scored twice with an RBI as Pryor Teribury, Kayden Vogel, and Lucas Loxley, and Seth Feldmeier all scored. Micah Pesesky chipped in with an RBI.

Harper got the win, going two innings with two strikeouts, one walk, three hits, and two earned runs.
