Troy softball rallied early and held on late to beat NEB, 10-7, during NTL softball action.
NEB led 4-0 at one point only for Troy to take a 5-4 lead. The two battled back and forth with the Trojans getting some insurance with a 2-run sixth.
Lauren Ridall (3-for-4) had a double with three runs scored as Amber James (2-for-3) had 4-RBI with two runs scored.
Kali Ayres (2-for-4) had a double with two runs scored, while Madi Palmer (2-for-4) had 3-RBI with a run scored.
Sydnee Bellows added an RBI with Olivia Champluvier and Maddyson Muir scoring runs.
Ridall got the start, and the win, going four innings with no strikeouts, two walks, seven hits, and seven runs, six of them earned. Champluvier went the final innings runs with one strikeout, one walk, and three hits with no runs.
