Lady Warriors Rally To Down Athens In 5 Sets

Canton rallied for a 3-2 win over Athens during NTL volleyball action. Athens won the first two sets 25-21 and 25-16, but the Warriors took the next three 25-17, 25-16, and 15-10.
Tara Gilbert had a triple-double with 27 points, 14 kills, and 16 digs, plus four aces, as Addi Pepper also had a triple-double with 10 points, 34 assists, and 15 digs to go with three aces.
Kendall Kitchen had a double-double of 15 points and 36 digs, plus an ace, two kills, and five assists, as Danah Wesneski notched a double-double of 23 points and 16 digs to go with three aces, five kills, and two assists.
Cailyn VanNoy had a double-double of 14 kills and 19 digs plus three points, and an ace, with Makenna Seachrist getting nine kills, six points, two digs, and two blocks. Addy Cardona chipped in with a kill.
Canton lost the JV match 25-18 and 25-17.
Katie Barry had four digs, four assists, and a kill, with Alyssa May getting four digs, a kill, and an ace.
Cardona had four kills with an ace, as Maci Colton notched four assists with a dig. Wesneski had two aces with a kill, Jericka Strozyk finished with two digs and an ace, as Ashley Valera and Summar Route had two digs apiece.
