Lady Hornets Split With Troy, NEB

The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Cross Country team split a pair of races Troy and Northeast Bradford on Tuesday, September 10.

The Lady Hornets beat Troy 19-39 and fell to NEB, 37-20. NEB also beat Troy, 20-51.

Sophomore Lauren Kosek captured the top spot in 20:40 followed by junior Sophia Yoder (26:18) in 8th, freshman Molly Tice (26:39) in 9th, senior Karah Blackwell (27:48) in 11th, freshman Anja Przybycien (28:33) in 12th, and freshman Luisa Crocco (33:08) in 17th.

In the Junior High race, the young Lady Hornets beat Troy 15-50 and lost to NEB, 50-15.

Kaci Kosek took home the top spot in 11:34 and Brianna O'Shea Bowers was 10th overall in 14:53.

The Hornets are back in action next Tuesday against North Penn-Mansfield and Sullivan County.
