The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team was swept by Troy in three sets on Tuesday, September 17.
Troy won the first set 25-20, took the 2nd set 25-14, and won the third 25-22. Wellsboro won the JV game 2-0, winning 25-23 and 25-14.
Sophomore Ellie Largey had 8 points (1 ace), 15 digs and 4 assists, sophomore Madison Cruttenden made 18 digs and scored 6 points (1 ace), and junior Taylor Main and sophomore Blake Eckart each recorded 11 digs. Main also had 6 assists, and 4 points. Eckart also added 2 kills.
Senior Paige Logsdon had 4 kills and 2 assisted blocks, senior Lexi Urena had 2 kills and 1 solo and 1 assisted block, and freshman Peyton Keane had 2 assisted blocks.
The loss drops the Lady Hornets to 7-2 overall and 5-1 in the NTL Large School Division.
The team is back in action Saturday morning against Coudersport.
