The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team ran their win streak to 5 matches following a 3-1 win over Williamson on Tuesday, October 15.
The Lady Hornets took the first two sets 25-22 and 25-21 to take a 2-0 lead, however Williamson fought back to win the third set, 25-17. Wellsboro then won the 4th set 25-22 to close out the match.
Wellsboro also won the JV game 2-1. Wellsboro won the first set 26-24, lost the 2nd 16-25, then won the 3rd, 15-11.
Sophomore Madison Cruttenden scored 14 points (2 aces) and made 17 digs, junior Taylor Main had 15 assists and 11 points (3 aces), and senior Paige Logsdon had 11 kills and 3 solo blocks. Senior Lexi Urena had 9 kills and 14 digs, sophomore Ellie Largey recorded 9 assists, junior Alyssa Chilson had 5 kills and a block, and sophomore Blake Eckart made 12 digs and scored 7 points (5 aces).
Wellsboro (14-3, 11-1 NTL Large School Division) travels to Troy Thursday night to decide the Large School Division championship.
