The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Cross Country team fell to Athens and Wyalusing in an NTL tri-meet on Tuesday, September 24.
Wyalusing beat Wellsboro 21-37 and Athens won 20-42. Athens also defeated Wyalusing 24-32.
Sophomore Lauren Kosek claimed another 1st place victory on the year, running 20:51. Junior Sophia Yoder (26:24) was 12th, senior Karah Blackwell (27:40) finished 16th, freshman Anja Przybycien (28:00) crossed the finish line in 17th, and freshman Luisa Crocco (31:58) came home 19th.
In the Junior High race Wellsboro fell 50-15 to both schools.
Kaci Kosek crossed the finish line in 1st with a time of 11:24 and Brianna O'Shea Bowers (16:41) was 10th.
The team is back in action against Towanda and Cowanesque Valley next Tuesday.
