Kosek Places 1st, Girls XC Falls to Rival Mansfield, Sullivan County

The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Cross Country team dropped a pair of races, one to rival North Penn-Mansfield, and Sullivan County on Tuesday, September 17.
Sophomore Lauren Kosek took home the top spot with a time of 21:37. Junior Sophia Yoder (27:24) was 7th, senior Karah Blackwell (30:41) was 11th, freshman Anja Przybycien (31:31) finished 13th, and freshman Luisa Crocco (34:53) was 15th.
In the Junior High race, Sullivan County defeated both Wellsboro and Mansfield 15-50. There were not enough runners between Wellsboro and Mansfield to score.
Kaci Kosek won the race in 12:40 and Brianna O'Shea Bowers (16:19) was 7th.
Wellsboro (4-3, 3-3 NTL Large School Division) takes on Athens and Wyalusing in Athens next Tuesday.
