Canton held on late to beat CV, 35-28, during NTL girls' basketball action Tuesday.
The Lady Warriors led 30-17 going into the fourth when the Indians held them to just five points in the final frame to make it close.
Kendall Kitchen had 11 points to lead Canton, along with five steals and six boards, while Cailyn VanNoy had a strong all-around game of 10 points, five steals, five assists, and four rebounds.
Lydia Roupp went 3-for-3 on 2-point field goals to score eight points for the Lady Warriors, with Cheyanne Fitch added four points and five boards.
Danah Wesneski had one point, four steals, and six rebounds, as Stella Rockwell had a point with two steals.
Alexis McRoberts chipped in with 11 boards for Canton.
Starr Ordway led CV with 12 points.
Canton jumped out to a 13-6 first quarter lead behind six points from Roupp. Neither team did much offense in the second quarter with both managing just five points each.
Canton would rally for 12 third quarter points behind two 3-balls from Kitchen, and six points from VanNoy.
In the final frame Ashley Woodring scored five of her seven points to lead the CV comeback but it came up short.
Canton rolled to a 36-8 win in the JV game behind 12 points from Lilly Jackson.
