After their match was rained out on Tuesday, Wellsboro swept the doubles matches and picked up a forfeit in singles to edge Towanda 3-2 in the opening round of the District IV Boys Tennis team tournament on Wednesday, May 1.
"Great team win," said head coach Andy Borzok. "Towanda played really well in the singles matches, so we were fortunate to have a strong doubles showing today. We're looking forward to another match against Galeton. They're a tough team, but my guys are motivated to give it all they've got and I’m really excited to see them play."
