The Wellsboro Varsity Wrestling team dropped a 57-6 league match to Williamson on Thursday, January 18.
Williamson started off quickly out of the gates, winning the first seven matches to put Wellsboro behind the eight ball. Junior Ryder Bowen broke the streak, and claimed the Hornets' lone victory on the evening, by pinning Justin Schaar in 51 seconds at 172 lbs. Williamson then won the final three contested matches.
Overall the Warriors won 10 bouts, 5 via pin fall, 3 by forfeit, and one each by major decision and tech fall.
The loss drops Wellsboro to 4-13 (0-7 NTL). The team travels to Northeast Bradford on January 24.
