Wellsboro's Boys Track team took home 2nd place behind Troy and beat Towanda in an NTL tri-meet at Towanda on Tuesday, April 9.
The Hornets scored 66 points while Troy claimed top billing with 98. Towanda was 3rd with 25 points.
Sophomores Jonathan Carl (12.04) and Jacoby Strang (12.32) were 4th and 5th in the 100m, Strang (25.86) was 5th in the 200m, and Carl (53.51) won the 400m. Sophomores Max Macias (2:25.07) and Henry Whitney (2:37.88) were 4th and 5th in the 800m, Macias was 2nd in the 1600m (5:05.80) and won the 3200m (11:16.71).
Junior Micah Vickery (17.28) won the 110m hurdles with sophomore David Seeling (18.87) in 3rd. The duo also placed 1-2 in the 300m hurdles with Vickery (45.75) taking 1st and Seeling (46.37) finishing 2nd.
Wellsboro won the 4x100m relay (46.66), was 3rd in the 4x400m (4:01.00) and 3rd in the 4x800m (10:09.16).
Junior Gabe Carpenter (9-ft, 6) won the pole vault, Seeling and Vickery (5-ft, 8) tied for 2nd in the high jump, juniors Micaiah Fitch (16-ft, 11) and Emmanuel Posada (16-ft, 5.5) were 4th and 5th in the long jump, and Fitch (35-ft, 6.5) and Carl (35-ft, 2) were 2nd and 3rd in the triple jump.
Senior Watson Feil (36-ft, 3) was 3rd in the shot put with senior Noah Morey (36-ft) in 5th, Morey (122-ft, 6) won the discus, and Morey (151-ft, 2) and Feil (141-ft, 8) finished 1-2 in the javelin with senior Mitchell Butler (109-ft, 5) in 5th.
The team is back in action at the Molly Dry Invite at Mansfield University tomorrow afternoon.
