Hornet Boys Fall To Troy, NEB

The Wellsboro Boys Cross Country team dropped a pair of league races to Troy and Northeast Bradford on Tuesday, September 10.

NEB defeated Wellsboro 20-50 and Troy won 23-49. NEB also beat Troy, 20-35.

Junior Max Macias led the Hornets on the afternoon, running 17:51 to finished 3rd overall. Junior Henry Whitney was 7th overall in 18:32, junior Ethan Geneski (22:34) was 23rd, freshman Lane Cozby (22:42) was 24th, freshman Jack Hammerton (24:13) was 27th, and junior Henry Nowak (24:18) was 28th.

In the Junior High race Wellsboro defeated Troy 16-20 and fell to NEB, 58-15.

Taitt Webster (12:57) finished 9th overall to lead the young Hornets while Jacob Patterson (13:44) was 11th and Colt Cozby (14:21) was 13th.

The Hornets are back in action next Tuesday against North Penn-Mansfield and Sullivan County.
