Canton saw the return of Holden Ward as they pulled away from Wellsboro, 46-34, during NTL football action.
Ward accounted for four touchdowns on the day as Ben Fitch had a big day, too, to help end Canton's 3-game losing streak.
Ward ran the ball nine times for 78-yards with two scores, had two catches for 10-yards and a touchdown, while even going 1-for-2 throwing the ball for 71-yards and a score.
Fitch was 6-for-9 for 163-yards with three scores and a pick, while hauling in a 71-yard touchdown reception from Ward.
Aydin Holcomb had three catches for 141-yards and two touchdowns, as Bailey Gardner had 13 carries for 88-yards.
Fitch opened up the scoring in the first quarter with a 3-yard pass to Ward, with Alexis McRoberts making it 7-0 with the point after.
After a Wellsboro touchdown tied things up to start the second, Canton got back to back scores as Fitch hit Holcomb for a 54-yard strike, then Ward ran one in from 42-yards out. McRoberts made both kicks for a 21-7 lead.
The Hornets cut it to 21-14, but a Fitch pick six saw Canton keep ahead, 27-14.
Wellsboro made it a 27-20 halftime score with another touchdown.
Canton scored back to back touchdowns to start the third as Ward ran one in from 16-yards out, followed by Fitch hitting Holcomb for an 84-yard scoring strike. McRoberts hit the point after for that touchdown for a 40-20 lead.
Wellsboro cut it to 40-28 with a late score in the third, but Canton pretty much sealed it with a Ward to Fitch touchdown.
After a late Hornets score the final was 46-32.
