Troy scored 42 first quarter points in their 63-27 rout of of South Williamsport in the District IV, Class AA quarterfinals.
Brendan Gilliland opened up the scoring with 52-yard touchdown run with 10:41 on the clock. Gavin Lykon-Leffler made the first of nine PATs to a record a perfect day as the Trojans led 7-0.
Just 14 seconds later Lincoln Chimics had a pick six to make it 14-0. He would get another pick six at the 8:03 mark, this time a 40-yard return, for the 21-0 lead.
With 5:00 on clock Kael Millard ran one in from 17-yards out for a 28-0 advantage. On Troy’s ensuing possession Evan Woodward hit Chimics with a 28-yard touchdown strike for the 35-0 advantage.
On the final play of the quarter Jack Burbage punched one in from 5-yards out for the 42-0 lead.
South got on the scoreboard with 5:11 left in the half as Tadd Lusk dove in for a 1-yard run.
Troy answered with 2:18 on the clock as Jayden Kutt scored to make it 49-7 at the half.
The Mounties added two more touchdowns, a 3-yard Cade Lusk run late in the third, then another 10-yard Lusk run early in the fourth to make it 49-21.
Troy's Spencer Martin would respond with an 83-yard touchdown run for a 56-21 score.
Cade Lusk would get a 43-yard touchdown run for his third score of the half, but Troy had the final say, this one a 54-yard Martin run with 38 seconds on the clock for the 63-27 final.
