Warriors Lose Lead Late To Athens

Canton led 5-3 going into the seventh but lost 7-6 to Athens in nine innings during NTL baseball action.
Canton had a chance to win in it in the ninth, as they loaded the bases with no outs, but only got one run across.
Holden Ward (1-for-3) and Hudson Ward (1-for-5) both scored a run and drove one in, while Weston Bellows (1-for-3), and Michael Beers (1-for-5) both crossed home. Brenen Taylor (1-for-3) had an RBI, along with Michael Davis and Mason Harold, while Hayden Ward also crossed home.
Bellows started and went four innings for the no decision, striking out three with one walk, five hits, and two earned runs.
Holden Ward went the final five innings, taking the loss, as he struck out two, with four walks, five hits, and five earned runs.
