The Wellsboro Cross Country teams took on Troy in their first NTL meet of the season, where the Trojans took both races, on Tuesday, September 12.
Troy won the girls race 26-29 and the boys won 20-43.
Freshman Lauren Kosek finished 1st overall in 21:52, her second straight 1st place finish. Sophomore Sophia Yoder (27:19) was 4th and junior Karah Blackwell (33:31) was 5th.
On the boys side sophomore Max Macias won the race in 20:12. Sophomore Henry Whitney (24:36) was 13th, sophomore Ethan Geneski (25:11) finished in 14th, sophomore Robbie Bowers (25:46) was 15th, freshman Ethan Pollaro (41:34) was 18th, and senior Tristan Lane (42:34) was 19th.
In the Junior High race Lane Cozby won in 12:11 followed by Kaci Kosek (12:16), Bella Hawn (12:19), Jacob Patterson (13:27), Owen Stumbo (13:27), Addie Chaborek (13:38), Molly Tice (14:11), Anja Przybycien (16:01), and Sylvia Lane (24:23).
Wellsboro hosts South Williamsport in a non-league meet Thursday.
