    SELINSGROVE — Central Mountain scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning Wednesday to break an open an early season showdown with Selinsgrove and take a 7-3 victory in a battle of the top two teams last year in Heartland Athletic Conference-Division I.

    The Seals trailed 4-2 after five innings. Caleb Hicks' second-inning RBI cut into a 3-0 deficit, and Tucker Teats lined a run-scoring hit to center with two down in the fourth.

    The Wildcats took control in the sixth with three hits, a walk and a Selinsgrove error. Kevin Grenninger and Cru Stover drove in runs for Central Mountain (3-0 overall, 1-0 HAC-I).

    Hicks finished 3-for-3 with two RBIs for the Seals (2-1, 1-1), while Tyler Swineford went 2-for-4.
