The Selinsgrove track and field teams picked up right where they left off last season after sweeping the competition in a season-opening tri-meet hosted by Midd-West.
The Selinsgrove boys defeated Shamokin 89-61 and Midd-West 132-17.
Derek Blair won three events for the Seals. Blair earned first place in the 800 (2:06.92), 1600 (4:45.50) and 3200 (10:39.59).
Brady Deviert won both hurdle events. Deivert got a time of 16.71 seconds in the 100 and 42.51 seconds in the 300.
The Seals boys also grabbed the top two spots in the shot put and discus. In the shot put, Colin Melhorn and Max Maurer earned first and second with marks of 48-7 1/2 and 47-6, respectively. Melhorn and Maurer were also first and second in the discus with marks of 150-7" and 142-1 1/2, respectively.
