Lady Hornets Shut Out By Wyalusing

Wyalusing scored 15 unanswered runs in three innings to shut out Wellsboro and hand them their third straight loss on Wednesday, April 19.

The Lady Rams scored five runs in the 1st, six runs in the 2nd, and added 4 more in the 3rd to end the game early. Wyalusing pitcher Jenelle Johns threw a perfect game, holding the Lady Hornets hitless and striking out five while facing 9 total batters.

Senior Rylie Boyce threw two innings on the mound, giving up 11 runs on 8 hits with 6 walks and 4 strikeouts. Senior Mariah Borden threw the final two thirds of an inning, allowing 4 runs on 3 hits with 2 walks.

The loss drops the Lady Hornets to 1-8 (1-7 NTL Large School Division). The team is back in action on Tuesday, April 25 at home against Sayre.
