The Wellsboro Junior High Boys Basketball team held Williamson scoreless in the first half en route to a 43-6 victory on Thursday, December 21.
The Hornets led 22-0 at the half and only allowed six points from the host Warriors, all of which came in the 3rd quarter.
Ransom Schultz led all scorers with 18 points while Kody Enck added 10 off the bench. Luke Szentesy had 6 points, Griffin Morral chipped in 3 points, and James Doughtie, Sean Ladd, and Reed Richardson pitched in with 2 points apiece. Schultz grabbed 8 boards, Szentesy and Enck grabbed 4 rebounds each, Morral made 3 assists and came away with 2 steals, and Richardson and Maddon Mascho had 3 assists each. Enck also made 3 steals and Szentesy blocked a pair of shots.
Wellsboro also won the B game, winning 35-9. Wellsboro led 12-9 at halftime then went on a 23-0 run in the second half. Keegan VanZile led the team with 13 points and Connor Hartman added 12.
The team is off for the holiday break and returns to action at North Penn-Mansfield on January 4.
