Hornets Run At McQuaid Invite

Freshman Lauren Kosek placed 8th overall as the Wellsboro XC teams traveled to Rochester Saturday for the McQuaid Invite.

Kosek clocked a 18:53 run for her top 10 finish out of 297 runners in the Girls Small School race.

Sophomore Sophia Yoder ran 23:47 to finish 176th.

In the boys race, sophomore Max Macias (17:49) was 80th, sophomore Robbie Bowers (21:33) was 306th, and sophomore Henry Whitney finished 307th in 21:35.

In the Junior High girls race, Kaci Kosek was 7th in 10:18, Bella Hawn (10:34) was 12th, Addie Chaborek (11:34) finished 46th, Molly Tice (11:39) came home in 52nd, and Anja Przybycien ran 12:51 to finish 106th.

In the boys race Lane Cozby was 116th, Tait Webster was 121st, Jacob Patterson finished 147th, and Owen Stumbo was 178th*.

Wellsboro returns to league action this Tuesday at Sullivan County with Athens.
