Hornets Post Top 10 Times At Elk Lake Invite

The Wellsboro Swim team kicked off their season at the Elk Lake Invite on December 29.

Each member of the team posted a top 10 finish in at least one of their events.

Senior Madison Robbins earned a 3rd place finish in the 200 Free with a time of 2:18.99, an 8th place in the 50 Free in 28.81, and a 7th place finish in the 100 Free at 1:03.64.

Senior Isobel Anderegg finished 3rd in the 100 Fly in 1:12.50, took 4th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:19.58), and a 6th place finish in the 50 Free (28.04). Her 100 Fly time was also an automatic District IV qualifying time.

Sophomore Makenna Robbins earned a 2nd place finish with a 100 Free (1:01.20), a 5th place finish in the 50 Free (28.01), and a 5th place finish in the 100 Backstroke (1:13.76). Her 100 Free time was also an automatic District IV qualifying time.

Senior Caralyn Warner took home a 3rd place finish in the 100 Backstroke (1:11.65), an 8th place finish in the 100 Free (1:03.65) and was 9th inn the 50 Free (28.82).

Sophomore Kristina Belz placed 7th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:26.42) and posted times of 32.24 in the 50 Free and 1:27.34 (100 Backstroke).

Freshman Ethan Pollaro placed 10th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:26.33) and also recorded times of 28.26 (50 Free) and 1:06.37 (100 Free).

The team is back in the pool on January 3, 2024 at Williamsport.
