The Wellsboro Boys Soccer team handed Galeton a 5-1 loss on their own field on Wednesday, September 6, thanks to hat trick by junior Lucas Cuneo.
"A great team effort from everyone," coach Todd Fitch said. "We were able to get 18 boys at least 25 minutes on the field tonight."
Cuneo struck first just over 10 minutes into the game to give the Hornets an early lead. His shot was partially blocked but still found the back on the net to make it 1-0. Later, with 17:14 remaining, Cuneo struck again off a direct kick to put Wellsboro in front 2-0. The Hornets' third goal of the half came with 2:35 remaining as senior Dillion Boyce came into possession of the ball in front of the net.

Galeton's lone goal of the game came with 2:31 left to play, cutting Wellsboro's lead down to 4-1, however Cuneo found the back of the net again with 21 seconds remaining to push the lead to 5-1.
