Freshman Lauren Kosek finished 2nd overall as Wellsboro squared off in an NTL tri-meet with Northeast Bradford and Towanda on Tuesday, September 19.
Kosek clocked a time of 20:47, 47 seconds off the winning time to lead the Lady Hornets. Sophomore Sophia Yoder finished 7th overall in 25:26 and junior Karah Blackwell (30:11) came home 17th.
Sophomore Max Macias paced the Hornets in the boys race, finishing 5th overall in 18:36. Sophomore Ethan Geneski (21:52) was 16th, sophomore Henry Whitney (22:35) 19th, sophomore Robbie Bowers (23:27) was 20th, freshman Ethan Pollaro (36:37) was 24th, and senior Tristan Lane (42:46) was 26th.
In the Junior High boys race Lane Cozby (12:40) was 12th, Tait Webster (12:49) was 13th, Jacob Patterson (13:25) finished 16th, and Owen Stumbo (13:26) came home 17th. In the girls race Kaci Kosek was 3rd in 12:22, Molly Tice (14:27) was 6th, Anja Przybycien (15:43) was 11th, and Sylvia Lane (27:16) was 14th.
The Hornets travel to Canton for a tri-meet with the Warriors and Sayre next Tuesday.
