Young Lady Hornets Drop Pair Of Games To Mansfield

North Penn-Mansfield took a pair of games from visiting Wellsboro on Saturday, December 17.
The Lady Tigers won the A game 34-19 and the B game 18-10.
Mansfield held an 8-0 lead after the 1st quarter then added 10 more points in the 2nd, while holding Wellsboro to just 6, to lead 18-6 at the half. A 12-1 run by Mansfield coming out of the break extended their lead to 30-7 heading into the 4th. Wellsboro outscored the Lady Tigers 12-4 in the final six minutes.
Lauren Gehman led Wellsboro with 6 points, Teagan Novinger and Emery Butters added 4 points, Kate Bryant finished with 3, and Rylee Coolidge chipped in with two.
In the B game Hailee Jo Benedict led with 4 points while Jennifer Belz, Rosa Sguera, and Miranda Hoover added two points each.
Wellsboro (4-10) is back in action for the final time this season at Sayre on Wednesday, December 21.
