Canton's defense pitched their fourth shutout in a row as the Warriors defeated South Williamsport 50-0 in football action.
Riley Parker ran for 79-yards and a touchdown on eight carries, while Holden Ward had eight carries for 43 yards and a score. Weston Bellows, Hudson Ward, and Bailey Ferguson each had touchdown runs as well.
Holden Ward had a touchdown pass, Michael Davis returned a fumble for a score, and Ferguson nailed a field goal for Canton.
Austin Allen led them in passing, going 4-for-7 for 91 yards, while Holden Ward was 2-for-2 for 39-yards and a touchdown.
Canton held South without a first down until the middle of the third quarter.
Parker opened the scoring with a 47-yard touchdown run with 6:59 left in the opening quarter. It was 7-0 after Ferguson’s kick.
In the second quarter Bellows had a 3-yard run, and Hudson Ward a 1-yard run, to make it 20-0.
With nine seconds left in the half Ferguson booted a 33-yard field goal for the 23-0 lead at the half.
Canton would score four touchdowns in the third quarter, starting with Holden Ward’s 32-yard scamper on the first play from scrimmage. Ward then hit Parker for a 4-yard passing touchdown.
The defense got involved on South’s ensuing drive, as Davis stripped the running back, and ran 59-yards to pay dirt for a 44-0 lead.
Ferguson would get a 10-yard run to end the quarter to make it 50-0.
