DANVILLE - Alaina Lisenfeld won at No. 3 singles for the Seals only point in their girls tennis opener for 2022 as Danville defeated Selinsgrove, 4-1, in a Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference-crossover match.

Lisenfield beat Maya Hassenbalg in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.

Don't let the match score fool you, though, it was much closer than the final score indicates as Selinsgrove dropped three, three-set matches.

Eden Miller rallied at No. 1 singles, dropping the first set, before winning the second-set 7-5 in a tie-breaker. Same for Norah Witkop at No. 3 singles. She dropped the first set, won the second set 6-2, before falling in the third set.

Evelyn Straub and Alexa Joiner also dropped their first set of the season, before winning the second set, 6-3. The two battled in third, and final set, before falling 6-4.
