Mount Carmel beats Selinsgrove

MOUNT CARMEL — Jenna Pizzoli scored 16 of her game-high 20 points in the first half, including all four of her 3-pointers, and Mount Carmel raced away from Selinsgrove, 58-25, in a Heartland Athletic Conference crossover.
Pizzoli was backed by Katie Witkoski, who scored nine of her 14 points in the first half as the Red Tornadoes built a 38-16 lead. Alyssa Reisinger added all nine of her points before halftime.
Selinsgrove (2-6) got six points from Murphy O'Brien on a pair of 3-pointers, while Haylee Nava and Erika Piepszowski each added five.
