A late second-half goal by senior Kate DeCamp led the Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team to a 1-1 tie with Jersey Shore on Monday, October 3.
The JV game was called for darkness in a 0-0 tie.
Jersey Shore scored just past the midway point of the second half, with 18:04 remaining, to take a 1-0 lead over the Lady Hornets. It wasn't until the last 9.1 seconds of regulation where DeCamp struck just inside the far post on a long shot to tie the game up. Neither team scored in either overtime period.
Senior Jordyn Abernathy assisted on DeCamp's goal.
Jersey Shore out shot Wellsboro 15-10 but the Lady Hornets had a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks. Sophomore Annie Gehman recorded 14 saves.
