The Wellsboro Volleyball teams came home with a pair of wins at South Williamsport on Monday, September 12.
The Varsity team won 3-0 while the JV team swept, 2-0.
Wellsboro won the first two sets 25-14 then held on for a 25-23 win in the third for the sweep.
Senior Emily Starkweather led the Lady Hornets with 10 points and 6 digs, while junior Meredith Brownlee and sophomore Paige Logsdon scored 8 points each. Logsdon also had 5 kills and 2 digs and Brownlee had 5 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 digs. Sophomore Lexi Urena had 10 kills, 7 assists, and 4 digs, junior Natalie Cleveland had 9 digs and 6 points, and senior Maddi Bordas made 10 assists.
Wellsboro improves their record to 4-2 (1-2 NTL Large School Division) and are back in action later tonight for a league match with Troy.
